As the end of the school year approaches, we want to thank all School Councils for their dedication to supporting OCDSB students, families, and communities. Your instrumental role in
fostering connections, building partnerships, running events, and raising funds has greatly contributed to student learning, well-being, and success. Thank you for your unwavering commitment
and positive impact throughout the year, creating a sense of belonging and support within our school community.
This newsletter will be paused during July and August, and will start up again in September. We wish you a wonderful end to the school year and a rejuvenating summer break!
School Council Year-End Annual Reporting
The School Council Year-End Annual Report is due October 31st, 2024. You can submit the report through our online form or by email. The form will ask for your School Council's mission
and vision; members; a note from the Chair; a summary of School Council activities this school year, including fundraising activities; spending plans; and comments for the successor
School Council. Learn more about submitting your report.
The School Council Year-End Financial Report is due September 20th, 2024. Your council can start drafting the report via this Google Form. Visit our website for detailed instructions
on filling out the form.
2024-2025 Community Use of Schools Facility Requests
The online booking system, eBASE, is now open for School Councils to submit permit requests for school activities for the 2024-2025 school year. Permit requests must be submitted by
July 5th, 2024. After that time, the software will be open to community users. Learn more about requesting a facility.
School Council Records and End of School Year Tasks

Celebrating the OCDSB Community Award Winners
On May 28th, 2024, the winners of the 2023-2024 Community Recognition Awards were announced and celebrated.
These incredible volunteers have enriched student learning, provided leadership in our School Councils, supported our staff and programming, and so much more!

Director’s Citation and Employee Recognition Awards
Our annual Director’s Citation and Employee Recognition Awards provide a moment to recognize the remarkable contributions of educators, support staff, and administrators. On May 21st,
we held a special event to celebrate this year’s award recipients. Congratulations to all of the amazing staff members for their dedication and commitment!
Fresh From the Farm
Fresh from the Farm allows schools to support their communities and Ontario farmers by selling Ontario vegetables and apples. Schools can keep 40% of the sales, while 50% goes to farmers
and 10% supports program costs. This program is a partnership between the Ministry of Education, the Ministry of Agriculture, Food and Rural Affairs, and the Ontario Fruit and Vegetable
Growers' Association. Enrolment for Fall 2024 is open until September 30th, 2024!

PRO Grant Final Reports
