Re: Referral of Community Use of Schools Proposal
Trustee Spice has given notice that she will move as follows at the 27 February
2002 special Board meeting:
THAT the Board refer consideration of the Community Use of Schools proposal to the 20
March Business Services Committee meeting and request that staff provide a complete
report on the meeting including:
a detailed breakdown of all the costs associated with community use of
schools and a rationalization for the proposed recovery; and
detailed information the user groups in each category (names of groups,
numbers of clients served, extent of use) and the rationale for the
categorization proposed;
THAT staff convene a working group of Trustees who are interested in this issue during the
first week of March to discuss the information and options prior to developing
recommendations.
