REPORT NO. 4, HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE

A meeting of the Human Resources Committee was held this evening in the Trustees' Committee Room,
133 Greenbank Road, Ottawa, commencing at 6:05 p.m with Trustee Lynn Scott in the Chair and the following in
attendance:
MEMBERS: Trustees Lynn Graham, Jim Libbey, Sheryl MacDonald (by phone) and Pam Morse
ALSO PRESENT: Trustees Margaret Lange, Myrna Laurenceson and Joan Spice
STAFF: James Grieve, Director of Education and Secretary of the Board
Bonnie Viney, Superintendent of Human Resources & Business & Learning

On a motion by Trustee Morse, the agenda was approved as circulated.
Public Question Period
Tom Sinclair asked when the elementary staffing model can be modified. He requested the approximate
dates, for the past two years, that the model was reviewed and when it will be considered in the next two
years. Janice McCoy advised that the staffing model is reviewed annually, prior to staffing decisions being
made for September and may be reviewed during contract negotiations, which will be commencing for the
renewal of the current agreement that will expire August 31, 2002. Staff agreed to provide Mr. Sinclair
with the approximate dates in writing.
New Business
There was no new business.
The Committee went in camera at 6:10 p.m. and subsequently adjourned at 7:15 p.m.
