Re Reconsideration, Trustee Libbey -
Reinstatement of Transportation for Grades 7 and 8 Students in Zone 2
Trustee Libbey has given notice that he will move reconsideration of the following
motion approved by the Board at its 4 July 2001 meeting:
A. That transportation entitlements for Grades 7 -8 students inside the UTA be
eliminated effective September 2002, except for areas where safety and access
issues cannot be satisfactorily resolved.
The Board first votes on whether or not to reconsider the issue and if the vote is in the
affirmative the above -noted motion will be back on the floor for consideration.
Trustee Libbey will then move in amendment as follows:
Whereas concern has been expressed for the safety of students in Zone 2 accessing CC
Transpo;
THAT transportation be re- instated for Grade 7 and 8 students in Zone 2 and the 2002 -03
budget be adjusted accordingly.
Trustee Libbey will provide further rationale for his motion at the meeting.
