Grieve, Director of Education /Secretary of the Board Rose -Marie Batley, Superintendent of School Operations Joan Melancon, Assistant Secretary of the Board 1. To present a schedule of Board and Committee meetings for the period July 2002 to December 2002. - BACKGROUND: 2. In accordance with past practice, Board and Committee meetings are scheduled as follows except where there is a conflict with a major religious or statutory holiday: • Board • Standing Committees: - Business Services - Education - Human Resources - Chair's Committee • Audit Committee • Special Education Advisory Committee (SEAC) 2nd and 4th Mondays 2nd Wednesday 3rd Monday 1st Monday (with the exception of September, January and May) Last Wednesday 3rd Wednesday every second month 1st Wednesday • Coordinating Committee for the 2nd Thursday, 3 times annually Education of Pupils with Developmental Disabilities October, December & April • Property Disposition Committee Vt Tuesday 3. Meetings of the Supervised Alternative Learning for Excused Pupils Committee (SALEP) are also included on the calendar. 4. Meetings of the Advisory Committee on the Arts have been included and the dates for the other Advisory Committee meetings, the Ottawa - Carleton Assembly of School Councils (OCASC) and the OCDSB Foundation will be added once they are known. 20 STATUS: 5. A draft meeting calendar for the period July 2002 to December 2002 is attached as Appendix A. This calendar is based on the existing organizational structure of the Board, and is subject to changes as may be required. RECOMMENDATION: THAT the Board and Committee Meeting Calendar for the period July 2002 to the end of December 2002, attached as Appendix A, be approved, subject to changes for individual meetings as may be required during the school year.
