PURPOSE:
1. To provide trustees with information regarding the 2000 Director's Citation awards.
BACKGROUND:
2. The Director's Citation award was created in 1985 to recognize teaching and administrative and
(W support staff for their "outstanding significant contribution over an extended period of time,
showing a level of imagination, enthusiasm and professionalism that will constitute a worthy model
for others."
3. The Director's Citation is awarded annually, from nominations received from trustees,
superintendents and principals/managers. The award is an engraved pewter plate, presented to the
recipient at a Board meeting in late Spring.
STATUS:
4. Sixteen nominations were received this year.
5. The award will be presented to 11 recipients at the Board meeting of June 26, 2000. Attached is the
list of recipients of the 2000 Director's Citation award.
