STAFF ANALYSIS OF TRUSTEE MOTION
Given the many issues including added costs which such a delivery model would present, it
is staff's recommendation that this proposed delivery model be examined in greater detail,
with an emphasis on available research, beginning with our coterminous school board. The
research would be in addition to that proposed to be conducted in 2000 -2001 regarding
delivery of programs to pupils with developmental disabilities and to secondary school
students.
Staffing and potential mileage costs are difficult to estimate until further study of the
implications of such a change have been investigated.
While staff does not consider it possible to implement the change implied in this motion for
September 2000, it would be possible to study the issues and provide impacts and costs in
time for next year's budget.
