OTTAWA - CARLETON DISTRICT SCHOOL BOARD
REPORT NO. 7, HUMAN RESOURCES COMMITTEE
TO: Board of Education DATE: 20 May 1998
A special meeting of the Human Resources Committee was held this evening at 133 Greenbank
Road, Nepean, commencing at 7.30 pm, in the Trustees' Committee Room. Trustee Andrew Lam was in
the Chair and the following were also in attendance:
MEMBERS: Trustees Alex Getty, Sheryl MacDonald, Pam Morse, and Lynn Scott
ALSO PRESENT: Trustees Jim Libbey and Norm MacDonald
STAFF: Carola Lane, Director of Education & Secretary of the Board
Jim Vair, Superintendent of Human Resources
Michael Clarke, Superintendent of Business
Carol Murphy, Administrator of Labour Relations
Sue Peter - Weeks /Acting Personnel Officer, Manager of Human
Resources
Brenda Cooper, Committee Coordinator
REPRESENTATIVE: Suzanne McMullen, Ottawa- Carleton Elementary Vice - Principals'
Association
Approval of Agenda
On a motion by Trustee Trustee Sheryl MacDonald, the agenda was approved as presented.
Public Question Period
There were no questions from the public.
3. In Camera Session
Your Committee then met in camera, where the following topics were discussed:
(a) Early Departure Plan
(b) Vice Principals
(c) Contract Termination
(d) Negotiations Update
An item on provincial collective bargaining was deferred to the next meeting.
The meeting later adjourned at 11:00 pm.
