• Schools are important community resources as well as educational facilities;
• Consideration of closing a school must stem from a program deficiency only;
• Harris Government school accommodation formula unreasonable and unworkable; part of a
larger agenda to extract more money from education;
• Schools for growth areas should be built as of right, should not be held hostage to school
capacities in older urban communities;
• OCDSB should not accede to unreasonable government accommodation formula; should wort:
with other school boards, parents and municipalities to move the government to a more
reasonable, workable accommodation funding formula.
