RE: Transportation for Primary Gifted Program
Trustee Chambers has given notice that he will move as follows at the Board Meeting
of 22 June 1998:
WHEREAS all students attending the primary gifted program at McNabb Park Public
School are IPRCd into the program;
WHEREAS prior to 1 January 1998 the parents of students from the former Carleton
Board of Education were required to pay tuition and provide transportation and
subsequent to that date have been required to provide transportation; and
WHEREAS, starting on 1 September 1998, the primary gifted program at McNabb Park
Public School will serve the whole Ottawa - Carleton District School Board;
BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT staff be directed to find within the existing 1998 -99 transportation budget
sufficient funds to provide transportation for all eligible students in the primary gifted
program (Grades 1-4) at McNabb Park Public School.
Trustee Chambers will provide further rationale for his motion-at the meeting.
