Trustee L abbey has given notice that he will move as follows with regard to
the recommendations in the Business Services Report of 11/15 June 1998 dealing with the
Mandate re Attendance Boundary/Area Review /School Closure Study and Community
Consultative Approach (Folios 26 & 27 of the Board Agenda).
TIMELINES
That APPENDIX C be amended as follows:
• Development of options by CWGs to take place until December 31.
• Penultimate submissions from CWGs take place on December 31.
• Staff analyses and work with the CWGs takes place January to mid- February.
• Final joint CWG /staff submissions, including any such analyses of strengths and
weaknesses of the submission as either group may wish to present, take place in mid -
February.
• Board approval is obtained by March 31.
THAT negotiations with both MET and the Federations begin to ensure, if at all possible, that
these dates are acceptable to them.

THAT principals and the superintendent from each planning area ensure that at least one of
them is in attendance at every CWG meeting to provide advice as and when needed and to
ensure that the superintendent and principals as a group have a first hand understanding of the
issues faced by the CWG and the planning staff.
