RE: Transportation Arrangements with Renfrew County District School Board and Upper
Canada District School Board
Trustee Chambers has given notice that he will move as follows at the Board Meeting
of 22 June 1998:
BE IT RESOLVED:
THAT the OCDSB fund the transportation portion of the costs of the West
Carleton S.S. students attending Arnprior District H.S. in the Renfrew County
District School Board for the 1998 -99 school year;
2. THAT the OCDSB request the Upper Canada District School Board to fund the
transportation costs of its secondary students attending OCDSB schools for the
1998 -99 school year and, should this arrangement not be acceptable to the
Upper Canada District School Board, terminate all transportation subsidies for
Upper Canada District School Board secondary students, effective 1 September
1998; and
I THAT, during the autumn of 1998, the OCDSB engage the Renfrew County
District School Board and the Upper Canada District School Board in
discussions concerning cross boundary secondary attendance, cost sharing, etc. for
the school years 1999 -2000 and beyond.
Trustee Chambers will provide further rationale for his motion at the meeting.
