RE: Action re Vandalism at John McCrae Secondary School Site
Trustee Norm MacDonald has given notice that he will move as follows at the 27 July Board meeting:
Whereas the John McCrae Secondary School construction site is accessible to passersby during the
night;
Whereas significant damage has been done to equipment on the site and to Board property near the site;
Whereas youths have been seen climbing the 3 storey steel superstructure in the evening;
THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED:
That the Director of Education, in concert with the General Contractor, immediately be directed to
take the necessary actions to significantly reduce vandalism and prevent serious injury to trespassers at
the John McCrae Secondary School site.
Trustee MacDonald will provide additional rationale for his motion at the meeting.
