MINUTES
SPECIAL MEETING, 2 NOVEMBER 2000
2 November 2000
A special meeting of the Ottawa - Carleton District School Board was held this evening in the
Board Room, 133 Greenbank Road, Nepean, Ontario, commencing at 6:30 p.m. with Trustee Jim Libbey in
the chair and the following in attendance: Trustees Albert Chambers, Alex Getty, Lynn Graham, Andrew
Lam, Sheryl MacDonald, Pam Morse and Lynn Scott.
Staff. Director of Education and Secretary of the Board James Grieve; Superintendents Rose -
Marie Batley; Michael Clarke; Ross Donaldson; Judith Hoye; Dan Mason; Barbara Stollery; Judy Turriff
and Bonnie Viney; Labour Relations Officers Janet Beer and Keith Egli; Assistant Secretary of the Board
Joan Melancon; Manager, Communications and Information Services, Maggie Melenhorst; Management,
Policy and Planning Advisor, Janice Sargent; Committee Coordinator, Kim Young.
Roger Mills and Paul Webber, of Bell, Baker, Board solicitors were present for the in camera
session and part of the public session.
On a motion by Trustee Libbey, seconded by Trustee Scott, the Board resolved into Committee of
the Whole to consider the items on the in camera agenda. Trustee Graham assumed the Chair in the
Committee, and the Committee later rose and presented the report below (Board minute 373 -00 refers).
373. Report No. 19. Committee of the Whole (in camera)
Trustee Graham presented Report No. 19, Committee of the Whole (in camera), and seconded the
recommendation therein, viz:
Negotiations Issue
(Motion by Trustee Morse)
THAT staff proceed as directed in Committee of the Whole, with respect to a negotiations issue.
The recommendation was adopted by the Board.
The meeting adjourned at 7:45 p.m.
