COURSE CODES (Grades 10 - OAC)
Each course in the secondary schools of the OBE is identified by a seven character code and title.
The first 3 letters in the code indicate the
subject (e.g. ENG2AE1 = English
The fourth digit indicates the intermediate /senior
grade level
2 = Grade 10; etc. 0 = OAC
ENG2AE1
credit is granted in recognition of successful corn
pletion of a course that has been scheduled for a
minimum of 110 hours. Continuing Education
Adult courses are scheduled for a minimum of 90
hours. Summer School make -up courses are sched-
uled for a minimum of 55 hours. Prerequistes for
courses are established at the school levels.
Course outlines are available at local schools.
Please contact the Principal should you require ad-
ditional specific information about a course. All
courses have been developed according to the re-
quirements of the Ontario Ministry of Education
and Training.
