ILIF Illness –
Family
Up to 3 days per work year in the event of serious illness of a
spouse, child, parent or sibling to arrange for alternate care.
This leave is intended to provide up to 3 days leave per year for an
employee to arrange for alternate care for a qualifying family member
at the onset of a serious illness (including surgery, diagnosis or
treatment).

essential business including 1 day for the moving of personal
effects.
Upon request by Supt or Designate acceptable evidence verifying the

includes leaves for medical, personal, or legal reasons. Annual
medical/dental appts. or routine appts. related to pregnancy can be
drawn from special lv.

be granted by the Principal / Manager (following consultation
with the Supt.) when compassionate leave or special leave is
exhausted.

Employees may substitute time off in lieu of overtime worked
when mutually agreed (scheduled within 30 days of the time
when the overtime was earned)

10 & 10.5 month employees must reserve vacation days to be
taken at Christmas/March break and those with insufficient
days will be deducted lwop. Any vacation balances paid out in
June.
Vacation days must be approved in advance. 12 month employees
must request permission to carry over vacation to following year .

Only with the approval of the Principal and written notification
to respective Superintendent.
The responsibility for determining reasonable efforts rests with
Supervisor. Reference PR.563.HR.
