BUDGET IMPACT SL Sick Leave Unable to perform duties due to illness OR attending a medical or dental appointment Standard medical certificate required on 6th consecutive day of absence as per OCDSB sick leave program. Employer has right to require a medical certificate. Not required Central STDP Short Term Disability To be used only when sick leave is exhausted. Not required Central COMP Death of Family Friend Up to 5 days – death of spouse, parent, child, grandchild, sibling, mother or father-in-law, son or daughter-in-law, or a person in a direct in loco parentis relationship or person with whom the employee resides or resided Up to 3 days - death of uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, grandparent, brother or sister-in-law 1 day to attend the funeral of a close personal friend In extenuating circumstances, additional lwop may be granted by Principal (following consultation with Supt.). Central ILIF Illness – Family Up to 3 days per work year in the event of serious illness of a spouse, child, parent or sibling to arrange for alternate care. This leave is intended to provide up to 3 days leave per year for an employee to arrange for alternate care for a qualifying family member at the onset of a serious illness (including surgery, diagnosis or treatment). Enter your relationship of the family member (e.g. spouse, child, parent) Central LWOP Leave without Pay In extenuating circumstances, additional leave w/o pay may be granted by the Principal / Manager (following consultation with the Supt.) when compassionate leave is exhausted. Leaves of 10+ days not entered on Form 138, Contact HR Officer Not required Central V Vacation Leave 10 & 10.5 month employees must reserve vacation days to be taken at Christmas/March break and those with insufficient days will be deducted lwop. Any vacation balances paid out in June. Vacation days must be approved in advance.
