Family
Up to 3 days per year of serious illness of a spouse, child or
parent or sibling to arrange for alternate care.
This leave is intended to provide up to 3 days leave for an employee
to arrange for alternate care for a qualifying family member at the
onset of a serious illness (including surgery or diagnosis). Following
diagnosis, where there is ample notice of appointments for an
extended course of treatment, an employee is entitled to take a total
of 3 days for the entire course of treatment.

Up to three (3) days of special leave with pay may be granted
in any school year by the appropriate Superintendent, or
designate, for matters of urgent or essential personal
business.
The Supervisor may request an explanation and/or verification of the
need for the absence. Urgent or Essential personal business includes
leaves for medical, personal, or legal reasons. Annual medical/dental
appts. or routine appts. related to pregnancy can be drawn from
special leave.

Employees who are requested to work beyond the hours
normally scheduled in the conduct of their regular and part-
time assignments to meet operational requirement shall be
entitled to equivalent time off in lieu, at a mutually agreeable
time.

“request for Approval to Work or Use Lieu Time” and tracked
separately.
