Central COMP Death of Family Friend Up to 5 days – death of a spouse, parent, child, grandchild, sibling, mother or father-in-law, son or daughter in-law or a person in a direct in loco parentis relationship with whom the employee resides or resided Up to 3 days - death of an uncle, aunt, nephew, niece, grandparent, brother or sister-in-law 1 day to attend the funeral of a close personal friend In extenuating circumstances, additional lwop may be granted by Principal (following consultation with Supt.). Central JURY Jury Duty (Court Leave) For summons to duty as a juror or witness, if employee is not a party or one of the persons charged Attach summons as juror or witness. Employee remits any fees (excl. of traveling allowance or living expenses) to Employer that the teacher receives. Supervisor to enter reason for leave - Federation Leave - Local or Provincial Central HOLY Religious Holy Days Up to 3 days per school year for the observance of recognized religious holy days Paid days not granted if day not observed on the Holy day or if observed on a weekend. Enter name of holy day Central ILIF Illness – Immediate Family Up to 3 days per year of serious illness of a spouse, child or parent or sibling to arrange for alternate care. This leave is intended to provide up to 3 days leave for an employee to arrange for alternate care for a qualifying family member at the onset of a serious illness (including surgery or diagnosis). Following diagnosis, where there is ample notice of appointments for an extended course of treatment, an employee is entitled to take a total of 3 days for the entire course of treatment. Enter your relationship of the family member (e.g. spouse, child, parent) Central J Special Leave Up to three (3) days of special leave with pay may be granted in any school year by the appropriate Superintendent, or designate, for matters of urgent or essential personal business. The Supervisor may request an explanation and/or verification of the need for the absence. Urgent or Essential personal business includes leaves for medical, personal, or legal reasons. Annual medical/dental appts. or routine appts. related to pregnancy can be drawn from special leave. Leaves of 10+ days not entered on Form 138, Contact HR Officer Not required Central --- Time in Lieu Employees who are requested to work beyond the hours normally scheduled in the conduct of their regular and part- time assignments to meet operational requirement shall be entitled to equivalent time off in lieu, at a mutually agreeable time. Must be pre-authorized by Supervisor; To be recorded on PSSP “request for Approval to Work or Use Lieu Time” and tracked separately. Not required – PSSP Term time in lieu is not entered in ATE School W Inclement Weather Only with the approval of the Principal and written notification to respective Superintendent.
