Up to 3 days in the event of serious illness of a spouse, child,
parent, to arrange alternate care.
This leave is intended to provide up to 3 days leave for an employee
to arrange for alternate care for a qualifying family member at the
onset of a serious illness (including surgery or diagnosis). Following
diagnosis, where there is ample notice of appointments for an
extended course of treatment, an employee is entitled to take a total
of 3 days for the entire course of treatment.
