Central COMP Death of Family Friend Up to 5 days – death of a spouse, parent, child, grandchild, sibling, mother or father-in-law Up to 3 days - death of an uncle, aunt, niece, nephew, grandparent, brother / sister-in-law, son / daughter-in-law or a person in a direct in loco parentis relationship or person with whom the employee resides or resided 1 day to attend the funeral of a close personal friend In extenuating circumstances, additional lwop may be granted by Principal (following consultation with Supt.). Central ILFM Illness – Immediate Family Up to 3 days in the event of serious illness of a child or spouse to arrange for alternate care. This leave is intended to provide up to 3 days leave for an employee to arrange for alternate care for a qualifying family member at the onset of a serious illness (including surgery or diagnosis). Following diagnosis, where there is ample notice of appointments for an extended course of treatment, an employee is entitled to take a total of 3 days for the entire course of treatment.
