Transport Canada says seatbelts will become mandatory on all large
buses built after September, 2020.
The new regulations will apply to all highway coaches weighing more
than 4536 kilograms.
The measures do not apply to schoolbuses, which are already meant
to be designed to protect children in an accident, although operators
may install them voluntarily, provided they meet Transport Canada
requirements.
