back to the classroom in less than two weeks, but some schools are still

That includes a specialist teacher, psychologists and speech pathologists,
educational assistants and parent navigators.
Education Minister Zach Churchill says the department is well on its way, having
hired over 140 new positions, and he is confident the remainder will be filled by the

But Nova Scotia Teachers Union President Paul Wozney says that may not happen
since specialists are in demand across the country and might leave Nova Scotia for
work.
He says that while he supports the hires, the quick roll out may have been too
ambitious and completing hiring after the school year has begun can be disruptive.
