Re: Ottawa Student Transportation Authority
Trustee Shea has given notice that he intends to move as follows at the Board meeting on 14 June
2011:
Whereas the Ottawa-Carleton District School Board (OCDSB) annually invests millions of dollars in the
operations of the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority (OSTA);
Whereas information about a comprehensive bus route amalgamation plan will be presented to the OSTA
Board of Directors at its June 2011 in camera meeting;
Whereas all trustees from the OCDSB should be aware of proposals that affect students, schools, and bell
times;
Whereas to ensure public accountability, it is important that OCDSB trustees be given the same privileges
to contemplate in camera information as OSTA board members are provided;
Therefore be it resolved
THAT, the Chair of the Board write a letter to the Ottawa Student Transportation Authority and request
that any in camera information submitted to the OSTA Board of Directors be released to the OCDSB at
the same time.
